Southend United v Burton Albion - The SOL Preview

Southend United came down with a massive big bump Tuesday night as a mad 14 minutes saw them lose 3-0 at Crawley Town.

Now the players will want to make ammends as quickly as possible and it starts on Saturday as Southend United take on Burton Albion at Roots Hall.
After the defeat, manager Paul Sturrock has said that changes will be made. He wants to be in the promotion mix at the end of the season, so games like Crawley can't happen too often.

Lee Sawyer could be one of those changes as he has been pushing hard to get a first team start and he may have impressed Sturrock enough to give him a chance.
Mark Phillips will undergo another fitness test on the groin problem he got against Leyton Orient. What only seemed a mild problem has caused him to fail fitness tests and miss the games against Accrington and Crawley.
Blair Sturrock who played in a friendly against Concord Rangers midweek and scoring the equalising goal might find it's still a bit too early for him to return.

Burton Albion face a few injury problems before there trip to the South Essex Coast with central defenders Tom Parkes and Nathan Stanton out, and Strikers Greg Pearson and Adi Yussuf.
Burton are so far unbeaten in the League this season having drawn all 3 of their opening matches.

The Shrimpers-online predicted team to face Burton Albion:

Sean Clohessy, Bilel Mohsni, Chris Barker, Luke Prosser
